Well whaddaya know: there’s not one, but TWO exciting food events happening at the Pike Place Market on the week of my birthday. Even better, you can eat to your heart’s (or rather belly’s) content and know it’s all for a good cause — proceeds from both events benefit local nonprofit organizations.
Oct 4: Feast at the Market — A progressive dinner at more than 20 Pike Place Market restaurants, including Matt’s in the Market, The Pink Door and Steelhead Diner. All proceeds benefit the Pike Market Medical Clinic, which provides medical care and services to more than 4,000 homeless and low-income individuals each year. Tickets: $85-125. Must be 21 to attend. For more information and to purchase your ticket, visit their website.
I can’t think of a better way to kick-off the final year of my 20′s. Yes, folks, come October 6, I will be 29-and-holding and just a hop, skip and a jump away from the dirty 30!
Disclaimer: I work for the Pike Place Market Foundation, which supports the Pike Market Medical Clinic and is also the beneficiary of Arcade Lights proceeds.
